Courage to Win – We Have the Courage to Believe

we have the courage

Courage is defined in Webster’s Dictionary as the power or courage to act or maintain the integrity of what one believes to be right. It is your individual conception and evaluation of right and wrong. It is your personal assessment of what is right for you. It is your personal standard against which you gauge others. When you have the courage to try something new, it may bring about changes that you never thought were possible.

Courage is not just about facing fear or changing with the times. It is also about being able to change with circumstances. You have to have courage to make a different choice today instead of yesterday. You need to be courageous to face fear. You have to be courageous to follow your passion.

You must have courage to try something new. You have to be courageous to follow your passion. You need to be courageous to say no. You need to have courage to trust yourself. The greatest fear is failure.

The greatest fear is living with fear. There is a difference between the strength of fear and the weakness of courage. You have heard the saying that courage is the birthright of man. I would like to present it another way.

I would like to present it as the possession of each of us. When we have the courage to try something new, when we have the courage to follow our passions, when we have the courage to trust ourselves, then we have a true measure of courage. When we have these strengths we face fearlessly and without hesitation. It is an incredible feeling.

We do not know what tomorrow will bring. We only know what we are today. If we fail to learn lessons from our past mistakes, we are bound to repeat them. We need to look at what we have learned and decide whether we need to grow in strength from our failures or whether we need to grow in strength from our successes.

You may wonder how we can sit back and look at our history and decide whether we need to grow in courage or not. I am here to tell you that we can do it. That we can look at our history and decide whether we need to grow in courage or not. That we can decide to walk in the footsteps of those who have gone before us, in the footsteps of our parents and even of our great grandparents.

Being afraid is not an acceptable state of being. Being fearful is not an acceptable condition of existence. Fear is the number one enemy of success. Courage on the other hand is the number one ally of success. So why are we so afraid?

Are we afraid because we are weak? Are we afraid because we are selfish? Do we have low self esteem? Do we have a need for approval? Do we need to be admired? These are all questions we need to ask ourselves and then we will know what we are really made of, and we will also know the difference between courage and weakness.
